At 85 years old, Dr. Spiro still works as a psychiatrist full-time, serving Milwaukee’s inner city. He is affiliated with Aurora Health Care medical facilities such as Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, Aurora Saint Luke’s Medical Center, Aurora Sinai Medical Center, and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Back in 1960, Dr. Spiro graduated with his medical degree from The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont. He then went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by his residency in psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Following his training, he attained board certification in psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

Dr. Spiro completed his undergraduate education, i.e., his Bachelor of Arts degree, at the University of Vermont in 1955. In 1975, he received his PhD degree in Psychology from Rutgers University. Dr. Spiro attained board certification in psychiatry with the American Board of Psychiatry. Furthermore, he is a Distinguished 50 Year Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
